"OWNING OUR STORY AND LOVING OURSELVES THROUGH THAT PROCESS IS THE BRAVEST THING THAT WE'LL EVER DO."
My goal is to help people recognize their innate sense of self worth through the therapeutic process. Whether using art or talk therapy, I view my role as co-travelor in helping my clients re-connect with their truest sense of self. I use empathetic and empirically based approaches to help clients identify, explore the origins of, and replace unhealthy coping patterns with healthy coping skills. I help clients look at their personal narrative, understand positive and negative core beliefs, and learn how to thrive in life, rather than simply survive. I help my clients learn how to feel heard, set boundaries, and improve relationships.
Coming from a trauma-informed perspective, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Existential Art Therapy approaches.
